Abdulaziz Al-Turki is an assistant professor at King Abdulaziz University (KAU). Prior to KAU, Abdulaziz was a Ph.D. student in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at UCLA, and before then, he was a process/supply planning engineer with Saudi Aramco. He worked in two gas plants in Saudi Arabia, Uthmaniyah Gas Plant and Hawiyah NGL Plant as a process engineer then had an assignment as an operation foreman. Upon completing field development, he joined the Oil Supply Planning and Scheduling Department at Saudi Aramco working for the Gas and NGL division as a supply planning engineer. His job entailed planning supply and demand outlook for the kingdom’s need of Natural Gas and its derivatives. Also, Abdulaziz was in charge of various tasks including process enhancement and modeling. Abdulaziz’s research expertise is in modeling and simulation and intensification of chemical engineering processes. Abdulaziz received his B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Leeds, U.K., in 2012 and his Ph.D. in chemical and biomolecular engineering from UCLA in 2020.
